A Musical Stream of Consciousness
Eric Brewer and Friends formed in 2007, in
Erie, Pennsylvania. Guitarist Eric Brewer brought together Charlie Meyer(keys),
Joel Polacci(drums), Vince Caccamo(bass), and Joe Cieslak(sax) to play a unique
blend of rock, jazz, and jam. Performing much of their own music, this first
incarnation played for about a year until Steve Barone took over for drums, and
Ralph Reitinger for bass. With this new line-up they took the Rock Erie Music
Award for Favorite Jam Band in 2009. Playing a variety of venues, from charity
events to summer festivals, as well as the local bar scene, they expanded their
repertoire and fan base, taking the REMA for two more years. They have opened
for internationally known musicians, guitarist Neil Zaza, and Tim Reynolds
band. They have also played along side master bassist Tony Grey.
Currently the band is set to release their debut CD "Seeing Sideways" on March 30, 2013.
